Natasha Bonhomme
birdSEED Advisory Board
For nearly 15 years Natasha has put the real experiences of people at the center of each sector she has worked in, whether focused on nonprofits, community engagement, or health advocacy. She launched Expecting Health to bring a range of consumer and professional stakeholders together to address the need for clear, science-based information for families and individuals through tangible, actionable messages. Her focus is on centering families' perspectives into policy and program design and implementation. She currently leads several initiatives including the Perinatal Nutrition Collaborative, a coalition of organizations and nutrition experts that share emerging science and research efforts. Natasha spends most of her professional time on initiatives focused on building the capacity of family leaders to further engage in leadership roles within the healthcare system and sharing family and consumer perspectives on committees for maternal health throughout the prenatal and postnatal periods. She is a Board Member of the DC-based Federally Qualified Health Center, Whitman-Walker Health, which provides affirming community-based care with a special focus on LGBTQ and HIV care. She has spent the past 10 years working with local organizations to provide accessible physical and mental health services in the DC/ Maryland area.
