Lisa Wise
CEO, Chief Flockster

At Flock, we work to positively impact lives every single day. My passion for mission-based work is an ideal complement to the homemaking that is an implicit part of our objective as a company. In my role, I focus on our strategic trajectory as a family of companies and ensure we are a socially responsible business with an eye toward bottom line results. Though highly committed to our success as a company, it's just as important to continue service to others.

My work has always been cause-driven, entrepreneurial, and community focused. I also thrive in a hands-on setting and enjoy highly personalized work with interesting people, places, and spaces.Since 2009, Nest DC and now the Flock family of companies have been the ideal professional setting for me and the perfect "second act" professionally.

My career launched in the non-profit sector. I served as the Executive Director of a national environmental non-profit, oversaw operations for a DC-based healthcare coalition and proudly served Planned Parenthood Federation of America for many years as a national political field manager. After a political -based career, why a service-based business? I believe forward-thinking, purpose driven businesses create real impact and meaningful change in communities.

I served four years as Board President of La Clinica del Pueblo and currently proudly serve as the Board Chair for Whitman-Walker Health, a Federally Qualified Health Center that is a national leader in affirming community-based health and wellness services to all with a special expertise in LGBTQ and HIV care. I am also a Commissioner Mayor on the DC Condo Association Advisory Council for the District of Columbia. I'm an active member of Leadership Greater Washington and Entrepreneur Organization, EO.

When I’m not change-making and home-making, you can find me surrounded by pets and hiking Rock Creek Park with my best friend; my nine year old son Beckett.

About

Flock DC is a real estate management company serving the District proper.

We knew from the start that to take flight, we all need fuel. This core value is at the heart of Flock’s birdSEED philanthropic giving initiative.

Good citizenship and bold contributions to community are part of our wingprint. Our giving began 12 years ago with our time. Indeed, it was all we had to spare. We helped build playgrounds, plant gardens, serve meals and sort clothing. We have (and still) wander the streets with trash bags and lend our spaces to those who have needed to gather, plot and plan for a better world.

These are the seeds we’re planting today as part of a reparative move toward a more just future.

We hope you join us. We have a lot of work to do.
