As COO of Method Co and Founder of Jeff David Hospitality, Jeff David oversees strategy, growth and execution.  He leverages short term rental, private members club, valet, coworking, food and beverage, wellness and event businesses to exceed its partners and resident’s expectations.  A former Hotelier of the Year, Jeff has 25+ years of experience, with 15 years as a GM/Managing Director and 5 years as the Principal of a consultancy for hospitality start-ups. He led openings for over $1.8 billion dollars’ worth of high profile luxury assets in Aspen, Anguilla, Times Square, Nantucket, Washington DC and Santa Monica. Prior to joining Method Co and founding Jeff David Hospitality, Jeff was President of Align Hospitality and was President of Fitler Club in Philadelphia, best described as a hybrid business model that combines Equinox, WeWork and Soho House in a 130,000 square foot private club - driven by pillars of outreach, diversity and the arts.  Jeff’s unique style of servant leadership developed over three decades working with Four Seasons, Viceroy, Proper, The Watergate and The Knickerbocker. 

Starting his career as a dishwasher while attending UCLA, Jeff has worked almost every position in a hotel.  His grit, humility and intellectual curiosity are a perfect fit for Align Hospitality’s approach to problem solving. Jeff’s passion is mentorship and giving back to the community, starting 20 years ago as a charter member of the Four Seasons Diversity Task Force. He has been involved in charitable foundations for RocNation Sports and Philly Youth Basketball. He is an Executive Board Member for the Karl and Marissa Van Noy Valor Foundation advocating fostering and adoption for disadvantaged youth, and the birdSEED Foundation for housing justice for the BIPOC community.

Our housing justice program offers down payment grants to qualifying BIPOC first time home buying residents in the DC and Philadelphia areas. Awards range from $5,000 to $15,000 and grants are made multiple times per year until funds are expended.

The application/review process is straight forward and uncomplicated.

Our Board of Advisors reviews applications, interviews finalists and identifies grantees. This is a partnership with the Greater Washington Community Foundation who supports the administrative complexity so we can very simply help people buy homes. *

Applicants must identify as one of the following: American Indian, Indigenous, Alaska Native, Asian, Pacific Islander, Black, African American, Hispanic or Latinix birdSEED has made 29 provisional grants to date. The total grant pool available was $215,000. Additional funds have been raised from supportive community members who shared our vision of simple, no strings financial down payment grants that accelerate the home buying process.
